    What is Print Margin Adjuster?

Print Margin Adjuster changes the visible print area of each page in a PDF by modifying the CropBox. Unlike the Add Margin tool, which grows the page dimensions, this tool keeps the page size the same and moves the crop boundary inward — effectively hiding content near the edges without resizing anything.

The tool reads each page's existing CropBox, then shifts its origin and reduces its width and height by the margin amounts you specify. Content outside the new crop boundary still exists in the file but is not printed or displayed by most readers. This makes it useful for hiding crop marks, bleed areas, or unwanted edge content before sending a document to print.

How to Use Print Margin Adjuster

    1. Upload a PDF by dropping it onto the upload zone or clicking to browse.
    2. Click Process. The tool reads each page's CropBox and adjusts it by the configured margins (default: 20 points on all sides).
    3. Download the result as adjusted-margins.pdf. Open it in a PDF reader or print dialog to verify the visible area matches your expectations.

    Why Use Print Margin Adjuster?

When preparing documents for professional printing, crop marks and bleed areas are often included in the exported PDF. Print Margin Adjuster lets you hide those marks without re-exporting from the source application. It is also useful for trimming content that appears at the very edge of a page — watermarks, header artifacts, or scanner artifacts that sit outside the intended print area.

Because the tool modifies only the CropBox metadata and does not alter the content stream, it is lossless. You can adjust margins multiple times without any degradation, and the original content remains intact in the file for future use.

    Privacy & Security

Your files never leave your browser. Every step — reading the PDF, adjusting crop boxes, and writing the output — happens on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to Racira's servers, no copies are stored in the cloud, and no file data is transmitted at any point.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tool resize the page?

No. The page dimensions stay the same; only the CropBox changes. Content outside the new crop boundary is hidden from view but still exists in the file.

Is this the same as Add Margin?

No. Add Margin grows the page dimensions to create physical white space. Print Margin Adjuster keeps the page the same size and moves the crop boundary inward, hiding edge content without changing the page geometry.

Will the hidden content be visible when I print?

Most PDF readers respect the CropBox when printing, so hidden content will not appear. However, some advanced print settings can override this. If you need content permanently removed (not just hidden), you would need to delete the pages and recreate them.
