Risk Thresholds

Below 20 mg/kg: unlikely to cause symptoms. 20–100 mg/kg: mild risk (vomiting, restlessness). 100–200 mg/kg: toxic — veterinary treatment needed. Above 200 mg/kg: severe — seizures and arrhythmias possible. Dose = theobromine ingested ÷ body weight in kg.
