- 26+ (Suspicious): An FFMI at this level strongly indicates the use of exogenous androgens (steroids), as the human body naturally cannot produce enough testosterone to support this much lean mass.
Why You Need an Accurate Body Fat Percentage
The entire FFMI calculation relies on knowing exactly how much fat you are carrying. If you guess your body fat, your FFMI score will be completely invalid. You cannot rely on cheap bathroom scales, which use electrical impedance that is easily skewed by how much water you drank that morning.
To get clinical-grade accuracy, you should seek out a DEXA scan (a bone-density x-ray) or Hydrostatic (underwater) weighing.
